How did Barca internationals played ..

In the past 7 days the main football event were the qualifications for the World Cup in Brasil. 15 players from FC Barcelona had international duty.


Valdes - Didn't play at all in the two games of Spain.

Montoya- Montoya again confirmed that he is in great form and that he will be great substitute for Dani Alves. He played the both games for Spain U-21 squad and Spain secured a spot for the European Championship in Israel.

Jordi Alba- Played in the 2 games for Spain. His performance was solid and he is regular starter for the World and European Champions now. Scored a goal against Belarus.

Adriano- Adriano again proved that he is all round player. Played right back in the two Brasil friendlies against Iraq and Japan.

Bartra- Bartra played the first game against Denmark in which Spain U21 won 5-0.

Mascherano- Played as a defensive midfielder in the two wins for Argentina against Uruguay and Chile.

Busquets- As Puyol and Pique are injured, Del Bosque asked from Sergio to play as center back in the both games. He played good in partnership with Ramos in the two games.

Iniesta - Don Andres played 35 minutes against Belarus and 75 minutes against France, in which he was one of the best players.

Cesc - Fabregas played the two games in the "false forward" position. Had nice performances, but missed a penalty against France.

Song - Alex played 90 minutes in the Cameroon win against Cape Verde. This win, however, was not enough, as Song and Cameroon will miss the African Cup of Nations. That's good news for us.

Sanchez - Alexis played 180 minutes in the two defeats of Chile, against Ecuador and Argentina. He again confirmed that is off form and Chile chances of playing in the World Cup are now little.

Villa - David did not played at all. Barca should be worried as Villa could lose his confidence, he rarely plays after the injury.

Messi - All of Messi haters and "experts" of football who think that Messi doesn't play good for Argentina were silenced by his two majestic performance. He scored two against Uruguay, one of which was truly master piece, and the opener against Chile.

Pedro - Pedro is fantastic this season. He scored hat trick against Belarus and was one of the best players against France. He made the penalty that Cesc missed. We hope he will continue with this form!

Barca play against Deportivo La Coruna in Saturday.
