Barcelona - Celtic Match preview

Today Barcelona play against Scottish side Celtic. It's the third game of 2012/2013 Champions League. Barca top the group with 6 points, ahead of Celtic who has 4 points.

Our team is having big troubles in defense. Gerard Pique will be unavailable, as Puyol and Dani Alves. Also now we pay the price for the nonsense red card that Busquets received against Benfica. Nonsense red card - because it wasn't red card!

So there are various possibilities for Barca defensive tactics. It's up to Tito to decide, but we have some suggestions. We think that maybe it's time for Bartra to get a chance as a center back. First reason is the good form that he has shown in the Euro Qualification for U-21 Spain. Second, we are at the top of the group, so when is Tito going to use him, if not in this game. If Bartra starts the game then the defensive line will look like this:

Montoya              Bartra                 Masche              Alba/Adriano

                                                                         Song.

But this is just our wish, and the reality is different. Tito will probably use Adriano as a center back with Mascherano (like in El Clasico) and play Song as a defensive midfielder. Or maybe, he'll play Song and Mascherano as center backs and Xavi as a defensive midfielder.

Barca are unbeaten in the last 17 home games in Champions league and on the other hand Celtic has only one away win in their last 27 games in Europe (against Spartak Moscow). So we all know who is the favorite here.

Força Barça!
